JACKALL’s HAGRE 96F is a floating minnow designed to target the ultra-shallow range just beneath the surface. It is tuned to reach the 0–20 cm zone below the surface, where sea bass often drive baitfish, making it effective when standard minnows run too deep or topwater plugs fail to draw a response. Its uniquely shallow-angled lip limits excessive diving while deflecting water appropriately according to the current speed, maintaining a stable action from dead-slow to fast retrieves.
Inside, it features a “Zero-Friction Slide Structure” in which a cylindrical weight is coated with fluororesin. During the cast, the weight slides smoothly toward the tail to stabilize the lure’s flight posture, then quickly returns to its set position after landing, delivering a highly responsive start to the swimming action. The slightly tail-heavy body shape and smooth curve on the underside of the lip also contribute to casting distance and stability. In addition to drifting in current, wading at river mouths and tidal flats, and fishing shallow areas and weed beds, it handles a wide range of conditions—from dead-slow retrieves in gentle current to fast current and down-cross presentations. During the retrieve, the running depth can be adjusted according to the rod-tip angle and current, while twitches can produce a flat-sided rolling action. The 96F measures 96 mm, weighs 12.2 g, and features a floating design with size #6 hooks.
