The guides are Fuji Kogyo stainless-steel-frame, all-SiC guides, selected with an emphasis on strength and quality. The SC-S73ML and SC-S78M feature a double-locking system that helps prevent the reel seat from loosening unexpectedly during casting or while fighting a fish. The lineup includes the SC-S70L, which reduces pulled hooks with its sensitive tip and fish-following midsection and also supports wrist-driven short casts; the SC-S73ML, which combines a flexible tip with enough butt power to handle unexpected large fish while maintaining excellent lure control for techniques such as jerking; and the SC-S78M, whose powerful butt and midsection make it easy to bring large Spanish mackerel to the boat at a fast pace and handle diving pencils in the 50 g class with ease.
