JACKALL’s BIGBACKER E-BLADE is a blade jig designed for targeting pelagic fish from breakwaters and offshore breakwaters. It is intended for primarily straight retrieves, without requiring difficult jerks or sharp rod lifts. Each component—including the body, blade, line tie, and hooks—has been carefully balanced to maintain a stable posture from slow to fast retrieves, while offering excellent depth-keeping ability to help stay within the targeted range.
The body features an asymmetrical design, with a clearly defined top and bottom to suppress wobbling and posture instability while swimming. The angled line tie and rear-weighted design provide a stable flight posture and excellent castability. The blade is tuned to provide moderate resistance, making it easy to detect changes in the current through the retrieve resistance. Because the blade continues rotating during free falls and tension falls, the lure can also be used with presentations that incorporate falls or pauses during a straight retrieve. The hook setup combines a rear treble hook that readily catches shallow bites from the tail or strikes at the blade, with a front assist hook to handle bites from the body or head. The 30–60 g models also feature assist lines with an integrated wire and oval-shaped blade eyes designed to reduce hook tangles. The line tie is pre-adjusted, allowing the lure to be used as is straight out of the package.
