DAIWA’s UVF MORETHAN DURASENSOR X8 BRAID +Si² is an 8-strand PE line developed from the previous MORETHAN X8 DURASENSOR, designed to support casting, lure control, and bite detection in seabass fishing. It combines TOUGH PE with EvoSilicone2 (+Si2), braiding eight strands of TOUGH PE made from thicker, more nearly perfectly round individual fibers to improve strength, abrasion resistance, and durability. In addition, DAIWA’s proprietary special silicone treatment further enhances abrasion resistance, smoothness, and durability. According to manufacturer comparisons, abrasion resistance is rated at over 300%, while TOUGH PE has a specific gravity of 0.98.
The line uses lime green as its base color for high visibility, with dark green markings every 10 meters and light blue markings every 50 meters. This makes it easier to gauge the amount of line released and the distance, allowing you to check the lure’s position and retrieve or drift presentation after casting. The 150 m spool is available in sizes 0.6 to 1.5, while the 200 m spool is available in sizes 0.8 to 2, allowing you to choose according to your reel’s line capacity, fishing location, and required strength.
