DAIWA’s UVF EMERALDAS DURA SENSOR ×8 +Si2 is an 8-strand PE line designed to provide the sensitivity needed to detect changes from casting through the fall, stay, and hookset during eging, while also offering easy handling during lure operation. It uses TOUGH PE, a new base fiber with high strength and abrasion resistance. DAIWA’s proprietary UVF processing densely braids the fibers to enhance strength and abrasion resistance. In addition, Evo Silicone2 (+Si2), a special silicone coating, is applied to improve smoothness and durability. The abrasion resistance achieved through the combination of TOUGH PE and Evo Silicone2 is rated at over 300% compared with the company’s conventional PE lines.
The 8-strand construction is designed to improve casting distance and reduce friction noise as the line passes through the guides. The line uses three colors that change every 10 meters, along with double markings for enhanced visibility. This makes it easier to operate the lure while monitoring changes in the line during the fall and stay phases. As a standard 150 m PE line, it is well suited to basic eging setups. It is available in sizes from 0.4 to 0.8.
