Jackson’s Metal Effect is a metal jig series designed to accommodate various techniques, including falling, retrieving, and long-distance casting. Stay Fall uses a recessed area on the side to catch water and create a brief “feeding pause” underwater, while its slightly rear-weighted center of gravity and recessed body section produce a horizontal fall. It is suited to jigging-based techniques such as “Black Panther Jerk,” which consists of three jerks followed by a fall. The blade features contrasting recessed and edged sections, and is designed for retrieve-oriented fishing, combining changes in flash intensity from the body’s subtle wobble with the blade’s sparkle.
Long Cast is a model focused on casting distance, featuring a slightly rear-weighted distribution and a distinctive cross-sectional shape. Recesses in the belly and back reduce wobbling during flight and suppress unnecessary erratic action underwater. The flat sides broaden the angle at which they catch light, enhancing flash. Available in weights including 16 g and 22 g. Bait Tune features a front-weighted body that makes it easier to detect contact with the bottom and is suited to slowly retrieving the lure upward from the bottom. Heat-shrink tubing is used on the blade to help prevent the hook from tangling with the leader during casting or falling, and it is paired with a single hook.
