Jackson’s Athlete series is designed for situations that demand long casts, such as surf and rocky shorelines, allowing anglers to cover a wide area with stable flight姿勢 and model-specific actions. The 12SS and 14SS are designed to achieve good casting distance even in headwinds, while delivering the signature Athlete action and stability. The 12SSV and 14SSV feature VG (Vortex Generator) fins on the body to stabilize the lure’s flight姿勢 during casting. These models retain the action of the previous models while aiming for consistent casting distance.
The 12SSP and 14SSP feature excellent casting performance and a fast sink rate thanks to their rear-weighted design. After landing, the 12SSP sinks vertically from the rear during a free fall. Once it reaches the bottom, it produces a wide rolling action on a slow retrieve, changing to a wobbling roll as the retrieve speed increases. During a tensioned, arcing fall, its fine rolling action continues to attract fish as it sinks. The 14SSP has a more forward center of gravity than the 12SSP and is designed to suppress lift-off, producing a wide wobbling roll and irregular movements in response to changes in retrieve speed. The 105SSP combines the rear-weighted configuration inherited from the 12SSP with a tighter-pitch wobbling roll and features a three-hook setup. The Athlete Dart SP combines long darts with the ability to maintain its swimming depth and is designed to make it difficult for the line to be picked up during darting actions. Depending on the objective, anglers can vary their technique between steady retrieves, speed changes, free falls, arcing falls, and darting actions.
