Jackson’s G-Control is designed to combine the long-casting performance and rapid-sinking capability of a heavy-sinking minnow with responsiveness during slow retrieves. A unique second lip on the underside of the body catches water and generates lift, causing the body to rise. This reduces the force pulling the lure downward and enhances the response of this weighty minnow during slow retrieves. The 20g model measures 75mm and the 28g model measures 93mm; both are super-sinking models. The 20g model is designed to swim at a retrieve speed similar to that of a 10g-class sinking minnow, while the 28g model performs similarly to a 14g-class sinking minnow.
Its action is a minnow-like combination of pronounced wobbling and rolling, accommodating a wide range of retrieve speeds from slow to fast. The second lip stabilizes the lure’s posture underwater and makes it easier to feel the retrieve resistance, allowing anglers to control the lure while staying aware of its swimming depth and behavior. Weights are positioned inside the body around the front eye, and the 20g and 28g models each contain a tungsten ball inside a molded lead weight. By concentrating the center of gravity, this design helps ensure casting distance while also contributing to rapid sinking and making bottom contact easier to detect. The 20g model is equipped with #8 hooks, while the 28g model uses #5 hooks, allowing anglers to choose between them according to bait size and the required casting distance.
