GAMAKATSU’s LUXXE EGTR XX is a rod designed for tip-run fishing, offering even greater sensitivity than previous models. TORAYCA® T1100G is used as the primary material, resulting in a slim, lightweight blank with high-modulus materials positioned where needed. The tip features a model-specific, original tapered carbon solid tip, making it easier to visually detect changes at the rod tip while working the egi or during a stay.
The spinning models feature a reel seat made from the carbon-composite resin “Toughlite” and a hollow-structure “Resound Grip” designed to enhance resonance sensitivity and load sensitivity. The lightweight all-titanium guide setup and reduced-diameter guide arrangement provide responsive handling with minimized tip shake. The S74ML-solid is a long, stay-oriented model with a flexible tip that stabilizes the egi’s posture. In situations where the elevated fishing position is more susceptible to wave action, it also accommodates wide, sweeping actions utilizing the rod’s stroke. The S74M-solid uses its power and rod stroke to impart pronounced actions to the egi while also allowing stable stays with its flexible solid tip, and is suitable for casting applications as well. Because the solid tips use delicate carbon solid material, care is required when handling them to prevent line tangles and during storage.
