Yoi Hime is a light saltwater game series developed by Gamakatsu's lure brand "LUXXE."
Designed primarily for targeting horse mackerel (aji), it also caters to micro fishing for rockfish (mebaru) and light game in harbor areas. The lineup includes items suited for delicate rigs such as standalone jig heads, split shots, Carolina rigs, floats, micro jigs, and micro plugs.
The series features rods that emphasize the operability of lightweight jig heads, sensitivity to changes in current and rig weight, and responsiveness once a fish is hooked. Available in both advanced models and user-friendly basic models, these rods can be selected based on various fishing environments and techniques, including nearshore lights, harbors, breakwaters, deep offshore spots, and long-distance casting with floats.
For jig heads, the "Yoi Hime AJ Custom" model is designed for aji fishing, accommodating everything from small horse mackerel to larger ones. For soft baits, models like "Tremolo AJ," "Noresore," and "Ekubo" are tailored to mimic small fish, plankton, and micro bait that aji and mebaru prey upon.
