HIDEUP SCHOOL FISH 4”
Four Baitfish in One Lure

HIDEUP has released one of the more unusual new Japanese bass lures of 2026 — the SCHOOL FISH 4”.

At first glance, its concept is easy to understand.

Four baitfish are connected together to create a single soft bait.

But the idea behind SCHOOL FISH is more than simply making a larger or more complicated soft plastic. Its purpose is to create the presence of a small school of baitfish underwater.

FOUR BAITFISH MOVING TOGETHER

All four baitfish bodies are the same size.

When SCHOOL FISH moves through the water, the four connected bodies create a silhouette that looks very different from a conventional single soft plastic.

With a Neko rig, the individual bodies move independently and can give the impression of several small baitfish gathering together.

Add a twitch, and the bodies move from side to side, creating even more movement within the “school.”

HIGH-FLOATING ELASTOMER MATERIAL

SCHOOL FISH is made from highly buoyant elastomer material.

This opens up some interesting presentations, especially with a weightless wacky rig.

Because the front section catches water and reduces forward movement, the lure can stay in a small area while the four bodies continue to move and attract attention.

By inserting a nail weight, you can also adjust the balance and create a more horizontal underwater posture.

This can make the SCHOOL FISH look like a small group of baitfish feeding together.

THERE IS NO SINGLE WAY TO RIG IT

This may be the most interesting feature of SCHOOL FISH.

HIDEUP does not limit the lure to one particular rig or presentation.

You can use it with a leaderless rig, weightless wacky rig, Neko rig and many other setups.

You can change where the hook is inserted.

You can change the direction of the hook.

You can add weight.

You can even reduce the number of connected baitfish.

Each change creates a different silhouette and a different action.

The body also incorporates two hook slits to help improve hook penetration when using an offset hook.

A LURE DESIGNED FOR ANGLER CREATIVITY

Japanese bass fishing has produced many unusual soft plastics over the years, but SCHOOL FISH takes a different approach.

Instead of imitating one baitfish, it attempts to imitate the presence of several baitfish together.

And rather than giving anglers only one “correct” way to use it, HIDEUP has deliberately created a lure that can be modified and rigged in many different ways.

Four baitfish.

One lure.

And a lot of possibilities.
