Zapp Bap Core

ZAPPU’s BUPCORE 180 is a 180 mm-class floating popper developed for casting games targeting large pelagic fish. It is designed to maintain a stable action even in rough sea conditions while producing powerful splashes. Its large-diameter mouth and uniquely designed body create a variety of actions accompanied by bubbles and splashes, giving it a strong presence on the water’s surface.

The body features a hybrid construction in which a balsa core shell that maintains high buoyancy is encased in rigid foamed resin. This structure preserves buoyancy while providing impact resistance and rigidity, and the 1.6 mm through-wire is also designed with large pelagic fish in mind. Despite its 180 mm length and approximately 75 g body weight, it is less likely to lose buoyancy even when paired with PE #10 or heavier tackle intended for large tuna, as well as heavy-wire, large treble hooks. Hooks can be selected according to the target species and size, and the total weight of the attached components, including rings and hooks, is supported up to approximately 20 g. The recommended hook weight is around 6.0 g per hook. Designed for yellowtail, amberjack, yellowfin tuna, bluefin tuna, giant trevally, and other species, this model prioritizes a strong surface presentation.
