PROGRE’s i-FLOAT X is an eyelet float designed not only to deliver small jigheads to offshore spots, but also to adjust the depth and sink rate according to the jighead weight, allowing anglers to search from the surface to the bottom with a float rig. It is available in three types—Surface, Intermediate, and Weed—and in 5 g, 10 g, and 15 g sizes. The main body is made of ABS, and a snap for changing the float is included.

The Intermediate is a suspending type with residual buoyancy set at approximately 0.5 g. With a jighead weighing 0.5 g or less, it can be allowed to float and drift, while using a 0.8–1.0 g jighead as a reference allows you to search the water column while slowly sinking the float. A 1.2 g jighead is suitable for targeting deeper layers. In a two-layer current, where the surface and mid-water currents flow differently, sinking the float allows it to break through the surface current while the jighead follows the lower current, enabling a natural drift presentation. In brackish water, it is also intended for searching currents in estuaries where a saltwater wedge has formed, using a 0.5 g jighead.

The daruma-shaped body, with a flat bottom, reduces the sink rate and contributes to stable handling with less susceptibility to crosswinds. Its low-center-of-gravity design minimizes wobble, making it easier to repeatedly search the same depth. The matte orange top is easy to see underwater, helping you detect tentative bites during the descent and check the float’s position when the line is kept taut. For night fishing, a small light stick can be inserted into the flexible hole. A leader of approximately 50 cm to 1.5 m is easy to manage, while a sliding rig can be used to search deeper ranges.
