KM Koubou’s Timber 140 ver.2.0 is a popper developed for targeting pelagic fish from the rock shore, based on Kenji Hashimoto’s many years of shore-casting experience. Its action helps achieve long casting distances even in strong winds and supports techniques such as popping, splashing, walking the dog, and long diving. It measures 140 mm and weighs 50 g (±2.5 g), featuring a special hard expanded-urethane construction.
For ver.2.0, the material has been upgraded to a new high-hardness, high-rigidity material. The shape around the cup and the depth of the eye recesses have also been revised, resulting in a design focused on durability in harsh rock-shore conditions. The horizontal line tie is adjustable: positioning it upward prioritizes diving, while positioning it downward prioritizes splashing. The standard hooks are Owner STX-58 #2/0, with compatibility from #1/0 to #3/0. For rough weather or when better water hold is desired, #3/0 is recommended; #1/0 is a guideline when improved buoyancy in fast currents is desired. Using a larger rear hook than the front hook raises the lure’s floating posture and makes it easier to dive. A swivel is used on the belly eye.
