Rise Japan Maika Sutte

RISE JAPAN’s MA・IK・KA SUTTE is a squid jig based on a simple design passed down from traditional fishing gear and taught by squid fishermen. It is designed with a focus on its posture when stationary and the point where squid are likely to strike. Available in two sizes, 80 mm and 95 mm, it can be selected according to the size and activity level of the squid.

The tail features a slim tail that clearly defines the squid’s attack target, while the luminous 3D eyes are designed to shift the point of attack toward the rear. The feathers at the rear of the body help maintain a horizontal posture, and, combined with the set buoyancy, make it easier for the jig to hold a horizontal position when stationary. The front eye uses a rolling swivel eye, helping stabilize the posture when stationary while reducing line twist.

During operation, incorporate pauses after retrieving or imparting action, taking advantage of the design that maintains a horizontal posture. Available in 80 mm and 95 mm sizes, the color lineup includes standard colors as well as glow, blue glow, and UV colors. This model makes it easy to select the appropriate size and color according to the squid’s size and activity level, as well as the available light.
