One's Agari

WANS AGARI is a swimming jig that combines a weighted head with a shad-tail worm, developed to balance the ability to attract fish with the ability to trigger bites. It is designed to generate both the attention-drawing appeal that brings fish in and the natural bite-inducing action of the worm in a single lure.

On a steady retrieve, the shad tail moves naturally, and the lure can also be used for lift-and-fall presentations and drifted through the current. When it contacts the bottom or structure, varying the lure’s action and presence can create a trigger for bites. The 12 g and 16 g head weights can be selected according to conditions, and the worm can be trimmed to adjust its length. By combining the head weight, worm length, and retrieve speed, the lure can be tuned to match the depth, current, and baitfish size. A steady retrieve is the basic approach, while near the bottom it can be fished with a lift-and-fall presentation, and in current it can be drifted by adjusting line tension. From shallow-water shore fishing to targeting deeper water using the weight of the head, this model adapts to a range of situations by varying the presentation and combination.
