BKK TARSAL CLAW is designed as an extra-heavy single assist hook for plugging games targeting large fish. Built with a strength-focused 6X-class forged hook, it features BKK’s proprietary HAND GROUND process, which creates an ultra-long taper at the hook point. Despite its heavy-gauge design, it delivers reliable penetration. The surface is finished with an Ultra Antirust coating for saltwater use.
The assist cord is made from a highly resilient material that helps minimize hook tilt and twisting, keeping the hook point oriented forward. The assist line is rated at the 420 lb class, providing the strength needed to handle powerful runs. Connecting the single hook to the lure with assist line allows the hook to move independently from the lure. The line length differs between the FRONT and REAR versions: FRONT is shorter, while REAR is longer. In addition to allowing selection based on the front or rear position of the plug, each size has been weight-adjusted with compatibility with treble hooks also taken into consideration. These plugging-specific assist hooks can be selected according to the intended application and mounting position when replacing the hooks on large plugs.
