BKK GT REX

BKK GT-REX is a 7X-class treble hook designed for saltwater lure fishing with poppers and stickbaits, targeting the largest giant trevally and tuna. The hook point features Hand Ground processing, with an emphasis on sharpness and reliable penetration. Its Ultra Antirust coating helps provide corrosion resistance for saltwater use while helping maintain the condition of the hook point.

The forged hook body uses BKK’s BKK-81WV material and heat-treatment technology. The hook eye features a shielded construction, while the welded Micro Ring, formed by processing the shank, is designed with a slim profile that maintains strength and makes split-ring attachment easy. The shortened welded section also provides elasticity against hook straightening. The combination of a deeply designed hook point, wide gap, and curved hook bend is intended to promote solid hooksets in hard mouths and secure hook retention during the fight.

Featuring a standard barb, it is designed as a replacement hook for poppers and stickbaits. Available in sizes 5/0, 6/0, and 7/0, select the appropriate size based on the lure’s dimensions, available hook-mounting space, and the split ring being used. GT-REX BL, the barbless version, is a separate model.
