BKK’s Viper-41 is a 4X-wire treble hook designed for topwater techniques, making it easier to set the hook on tentative bites where fish merely touch the lure, as well as on strikes from fish that engulf the lure. It features a long, straight needle point and an aggressive bend that helps prevent the hook from coming free when fish shake their heads violently or leap clear of the water.
To reduce weight and help keep the hook positioned close to the lure, the welded section connecting the three hooks is kept short, providing flexibility in the structure while maintaining strength. The hook is forged and finished with a Bright Tin coating designed to withstand saltwater environments. Intended for use with topwater lures, poppers, surface-skimming lures, and fast-swimming diving and trolling lures, it is available in sizes 6 through 6/0. As a replacement treble hook for lures with standard split rings, it can be used with everything from small vibration lures to large saltwater stickbaits and poppers, provided the balance between lure size and hook weight is carefully considered.
