Hot's Big Fin

HOT’S Bigfin is a fishing-style metal jig designed to efficiently target deep water, featuring a low-rotation head and a body shape engineered to produce a wobbling action during the retrieve. Developed through repeated testing, it uses a distinctive boat-shaped design with wings. Its weight balance prevents the head from rotating easily even at high speeds, while the design allows the jig to wobble naturally from side to side simply by reeling. The head is slimmer than previous models, helping prevent the octopus bait from slipping out of position. The projecting shoulders catch the current, creating a smoother start to the wobbling action while also helping maintain a wide range of movement.

The octopus bait is made from a soft material with long slits, producing a flare effect that contracts during a jerk and spreads out when the lure pauses. In addition to retrieve-based presentations, it also accommodates techniques that combine jerks and pauses. The octopus bait can be replaced via the split ring, allowing for reconfiguration with spare rigs or custom-made octopus baits. The wire used to mount the hook is housed inside the head, creating a streamlined structure with minimal protrusion on the back and belly. The Bigfin is available in weights from 80 to 350 g. The heavy 250 g, 300 g, and 350 g models are particularly suited to targeting deeper ranges, and the BF Spare Rig EX, equipped with thick-wire hooks, is also available.
