Hot's Keiko Ocean Popper RV

HOT’S KEIKO OCEAN POPPER Rv. is a pencil popper that inherits the big-fish expertise developed through the KEIKO OCEAN series, while replacing the conventional cup shape with a deep cup. The 185mm model features a cup depth of approximately 10mm. When it dives underwater, it produces a large bubble sound filled with abundant bubbles, designed to draw out deep-water GT, tuna, and large pelagic fish. During a long jerk, it swims while trailing jet bubbles, and the strength and input method of the jerk allow anglers to switch between surface splashes and diving action.

The body is made from highly buoyant natural wood with minimal variation in specific gravity, and is handcrafted by lure craftsman Hideyuki Tanaka. The body shape is also designed with long-casting performance in mind, resulting in a form that is easy to handle when casting for large fish. This floating model offers buoyancy; the 185mm model measures 185mm in length and weighs 75g. For strength, it uses a through-wire construction with a 2mm wire and swivel system. It is supplied hookless, with size 2/0 heavy-wire treble hooks recommended by the manufacturer. Due to the characteristics of natural wood, buoyancy and weight may vary between individual lures.
