Based on the SP type with a shortened shank, it is designed to help minimize the hook’s visual presence and impact on lure action when attached to a lure. It is available in MH (Medium Heavy) and H (Heavy) strengths, with the H type offering greater strength through a thicker wire diameter than the MH type. The H type retains the basic shape, including the hook points, and the same rust-resistant specifications as the MH type, making it suitable for situations involving heavier loads.

Both HSP and MHSP are available in sizes #1, #2, #4, #6, and #8. HSP is based on , with #1 and #2 containing 8 hooks, while #4, #6, and #8 are . As replacement hooks, they are convenient when you want to change the strength from the lure’s standard hooks. Switching from MH to H makes the hooks thicker and heavier, which may result in a more subdued lure action.
