Hideup Pylon

HIDEUP’s Pylon185 is a floating pencil bait designed to combine a walk-the-dog action on the surface, enabled by its vertical floating posture, with a diving action controlled by the rod. The lure is balanced so that most of its body remains submerged while floating, maintaining a strong presence on the surface while making it easy to transition into a diving action. It also supports the panic action characteristic of the Pylon series, producing an erratic movement like prey fleeing across the surface.

The overall length is 200 mm, with a body length of 185 mm and a weight of approximately 110 g. It features a body measuring 8 mm at its thickest point and 2.5 mm at its thinnest, along with a 1.6 mm through-wire construction. In addition to rod action, a walk-the-dog action can reportedly be produced with digital retrieves of approximately half a turn of the reel handle, making it suitable for situations where a consistent rhythm is desired. By combining rod-controlled dives from the floating position with a return to the surface, anglers can vary their presentation from the surface to just below it. The lure comes standard with No. 1 hooks.
