Breed Naked

BREED’s NAKED is designed as a “bare metal squid jig” finished with paint alone, targeting a light operating feel and fast fall speed. After two years of testing, it adopts a shape proven to produce results on a straight retrieve regardless of species, based on the Bull Terrier. The shape was selected for its high frequency of squid bites and fast fall speed when targeting red sea bream. By removing the elements that create the Bull Terrier’s strong vibration, BREED has refined NAKED to produce subtle vibrations.

The paint-only body creates little resistance when retrieved, making it easy to operate with a light, responsive feel. Its sharp-edged shape generates a complex action, imitating fleeing baitfish. The broad flat surfaces also accommodate a variety of presentations, including long lifts. Another feature is its durability, as the finish is less prone to peeling or tearing, allowing it to withstand attacks from fish such as lizardfish, Japanese Spanish mackerel, and red sea bream. Its rearward center of gravity, positioned close to the center, helps it reach the target depth quickly. It is available in sizes 20 and 25. Equipped with sharp crown hooks, this model is designed to be worked primarily with falls and lifts, using subtle vibrations and changes in shape to attract fish.
