Issei Umitaro Plug

issei Umitaro Ame Minnow 48MR is a 48mm micro minnow designed primarily to target water just below the surface at approximately 1m using its semi-long lip. Its high-pitch, tight micro-vibration action encourages reaction bites from fish. Unlike the Ame Minnow 48SR, it excels at medium to fast retrieves, producing crisp wobbling even on a steady retrieve at a constant speed. Designed mainly for light-game fishing targeting horse mackerel and rockfish, its range and action characteristics also make it suitable for targeting a wide variety of species.

The Ame Minnow 48MR-SF features a slow-floating design with fixed-center-of-gravity weights, providing quick startup and a stable posture. The Ame Minnow 48MR-SS is a slow-sinking model equipped with heavy moving center-of-gravity weights, making it easier to cast farther and suitable for covering a wide area or probing deeper ranges. While it is primarily designed for retrieving, it is also easy to work by varying the retrieve speed according to conditions or pausing after a jerk to show the lure’s posture. It measures 48mm in length and weighs 2.3g in the SF version and 2.7g in the SS version. It is fitted with #16 hooks and #1 split rings.
