Agua Zquid

AGUA’s Zquid is a squid-shaped hard bait developed for fish that prey on small squid, based on close observation and study of squid movement. Designed for squid patterns, including the firefly squid pattern found in Toyama Bay, it has undergone repeated field testing and action testing in the demanding conditions of the Sea of Japan to replicate the movement and silhouette of an actual firefly squid.

Its defining feature is a low-vibration action with no wobbling or rolling, designed to imitate the way a squid swims. The fin-shaped lip suppresses wobbling, helps the lure maintain a consistent depth, and stabilizes its posture while falling. By adding pauses during the retrieve and feeding slack through the rod tip or line, anglers can create the “Z-Fall Action,” which imitates a squid darting around in escape. The body uses a blue glow material infused with blue-toned luminous pigment and also contains a built-in luminous bead. At night or in low-light conditions, the lure’s silhouette and glow make its presence known. The lineup includes sizes such as 75, 90, and 120, along with floating, sinking, and super-slow-sinking buoyancy settings, accommodating everything from suspending the lure near the surface to slowly working different depths. The 75 is a downsized model that retains the action and mechanism of the 90, allowing anglers to select the appropriate size and type for changing conditions.
