Crazy Ocean Tip Runner

CrazyOcean’s Tip Runner is an egi designed specifically for tip-run fishing, developed by thoroughly pursuing its fundamental performance through original testing of the fall speed, lightness of the jerking action, sharpness of the darting action, stability in moving water, resting posture, and hooking performance required for tip-run fishing.

The combination of a slim head and keel sinker delivers both sharp darting action and straight-line stability in moving water. The body’s smooth, flowing form contributes to a light jerking action and stable handling. The hooks feature a curved shape that helps preserve the lure’s posture underwater while expanding the effective hooking range, and are set in a stepped arrangement. Its posture is designed not only to maintain a horizontal position for active Japanese flying squid, but also to achieve a balance with the tail slightly raised for low-activity conditions. Except for certain colors, the belly area, which is easy for squid to see, features blue glow. It is designed for tip-run techniques in which the lure is darted with a jerk after the fall, while changes in posture during the stay are detected through the rod tip.

The lineup also includes the 2.5-size Tip Runner Chibi, designed for situations with small baitfish or low squid activity. The head shape and hook balance have been revised to suit its smaller size, and it features curved Shiwari-style hooks. While inheriting the design philosophy of the standard model, it is designed for situations where a smaller silhouette is preferred.
