The STUDIO OCEAN MARK OCEAN GRIP OG2816 is a fish holder designed to securely hold large fish while also allowing them to be weighed using the grip itself. The body is made of machined-cut aluminum, while the resin components use glass-fiber-reinforced nylon, combining light weight with durability. The long-nose design and long grip make it easy to insert the holder near the fish’s mouth and securely grip the lower jaw of large fish.

The grip is designed to open on one side only, making it easier to aim, while the inward-curved tip helps prevent the fish from slipping free. In addition, the grip mechanism opens while extending forward, making it easier to catch the fish’s jaw from the movable side and drawing the jaw inward as it closes. Operated by a trigger, the one-way cam mechanism holds the grip closed and helps prevent it from opening until the trigger is pulled. A scale mechanism is built into the handle, allowing the fish’s weight to be checked using the weighing spring and weighing hook. The hook at the rear of the handle can be used to suspend the grip when weighing or to attach a cord, enabling the fish to be held after landing and weighed in a continuous sequence of actions.
