Jumprize Buttobi-kun

JUMPRIZE’s Buttobi-kun series was developed to cover a wide area by combining exceptional casting distance with the bite-inducing action unique to sinking pencils. The representative Buttobi-kun 95S is a 95 mm, 27 g sinking model that allows anglers to work the water column in stages from 0 to approximately 100 cm. It features a slightly stronger high-pitch wide swing and a horizontal rolling fall, and can be worked with techniques ranging from a straight retrieve to skipping. In addition to the supplied treble-hook configuration, it is compatible with setups using Light Sharp Short single hooks, and a hookless model is also available.

The Buttobi-kun 115S is a more aggressive 115 mm, 34 g model based on the 95S, designed for use in offshore and rough-water conditions. Its W Variable Wide Swing action provides a sense of suspension while suppressing the lure’s rise, making it easier to maintain a range of 0 to approximately 3 m. The body uses a density-adjusted impact-resistant material, while the one-piece construction extending from the wire through to the tail weight ensures strength. Treble hooks in sizes #4 to #2 from various manufacturers, or Light Sharp Short MH- or MMH-class hooks paired with a JUMPRIZE Gorilla Ring #3, are recommended. The smaller Buttobi-kun 75HS features a structure that suppresses rise and a high-strength, thick-walled design. At slow to medium retrieve speeds, it produces a high-pitch wide roll, while continuous downward manipulation from the slide eye on the top of the head triggers a horizontal sliding dart action.
