BlueBlue Inc.’s BALLIST is designed to make sinking pencils easier to control and features a distinctive tail fin. On the BALLIST 90S, the tail fin catches water even during a slow retrieve, creating a subtle action while transmitting enough resistance to help anglers feel and track the lure’s movement. Designed to compensate for the often difficult-to-read feel of sinking pencils, it allows anglers to operate the lure while monitoring its condition even when retrieving slowly.

The tail fin also contributes to a stable flight attitude, reducing rotation and wobble during casting and helping the lure maintain a stable trajectory even in headwinds. Another distinctive feature is its design, which combines the line eye, internal weight balance, and tail fin to make the lure swim in a nearly horizontal posture. During the retrieve, particularly at slow speeds, the resistance generated by the tail fin provides a useful reference for maintaining a consistent pace, allowing natural presentations suited to a range of conditions—from offshore spots and high banks to shallow water close to shore. The BALLIST 90S measures 90 mm in length and weighs 21 g, and is equipped with #3 split rings and two #5 hooks.
