XESTA’s HYPER HEAD TOUCH DOWN is a jig head designed for a wide range of saltwater applications, from shore to offshore. Based on the TOUCH DOWN, it offers an expanded selection of weights and hook sizes. When rigged with a soft bait, it is designed to produce a stable horizontal fall, while retrieves and falls help convey the soft bait’s presence. Available in weights from 7g to 28g and hook sizes from #2 to #5/0, it can be selected according to the size of the soft bait, target depth, and required casting distance.
An eye is positioned on the underside of the head, allowing an additional hook or blade to be attached. Adding a hook can help improve the hookup rate, while a blade adds extra attraction, allowing the setup to be adjusted from its standard configuration. Rig the soft bait straight onto the hook as with a conventional jig head rig, and work it with techniques such as steady retrieves, falls, and lift-and-fall presentations according to the target depth and current. Covering everything from the lighter 7g class to 18g, 21g, and 28g models suited to deeper water and stronger currents, this model expands on the fundamental performance of the TOUCH DOWN series.
