XESTA’s STAR HEAD TOUCH DOWN is a jig head developed for light tackle fishing, combining sharp darting action with a stable horizontal fall to support a wide range of presentations. Its sharply angled nose shape produces quick darts in response to rod movements, while maintaining a horizontal fall that is less likely to lose its posture even when tension is released. In addition to provoking reaction strikes with darts created by lifts and twitches, it also supports presentations that focus on the worm’s posture during the fall.

The indentation at the front of the head catches water, allowing the rigged worm to move more naturally. It is designed to help draw out the worm’s action after darting and during the fall, while also making it easier to sense the presence of the jig head while working the lure. Insert the worm straight along the hook and rig it so that the head and worm form an integrated profile to take full advantage of the designed action. This model is suited to light tackle fishing for species such as rockfish and horse mackerel, as well as situations where darting and horizontal falling actions need to be used selectively.
