Gear-Lab Shore Flip

Gear-Lab’s Shore Flip is a metal jig developed for shore casting by tuning the offshore metal jig Micro Flip for a retrieve-oriented presentation. It is designed to be cast out and retrieved steadily, without complex techniques such as jerking. It is intended as a first-choice lure when targeting grouper and other rockfish, pelagic species, red sea bream, and other fish from shore after locating a promising spot.

The body is designed to produce action easily during the retrieve, attracting fish with a steady retrieve. Gear-Lab’s original Polazic Film is applied to the body as a bite marker. The standard hook is a size 7 Chinu hook finished to Gear-Lab’s original Sharpex specification. The separately sold G-Blade can be attached with a single touch, adding the blade’s flashing and vibration during a steady retrieve.

The basic presentation is to cast the lure, let it sink to the desired depth, and then retrieve it at a constant speed. It is also designed for use with eging rods and seabass rods, making it suitable for fishing from breakwaters, rocky shorelines, river mouths, and similar locations. Overall length varies by weight: the 20 g model is 52 mm, the 30 g model is 59 mm, the 40 g model is 65 mm, and the 60 g model is 74 mm. The Shore Flip 60 g is an easy-to-use model for fishing deeper ranges or areas with current, where its heavier weight can be put to effective use.
