Yamatoyo Resin Sheller

YAMATOYO TEGUSU’s PE RESIN SHELLER is a PE line designed to reduce tip tangles and improve water shedding performance by compensating for PE’s characteristically low stiffness with a special hard resin coating. Made from 100% Super PE, its resin coating provides a moderate level of stiffness to support line control during casting and lure manipulation. The surface friction coefficient is also reduced, and the manufacturer describes it as a design offering excellent abrasion resistance and durability. Available in orange and gray, it can be used as a main line for shore-based lure fishing.

PE RESIN SHELLER 8 features a smooth, nearly round 8-strand braid with a hard resin coating. Its moderate stiffness is designed to reduce line tangles around the rod guides and air knots, while its water-repellent wax effect allows water droplets to fall easily from the line and helps reduce sticking to the rod blank. The smooth 8-strand construction is also said to suppress the characteristic line noise of PE, and it uses a light blue color that blends easily with seawater, lake water, and river water. The 4-strand PE RESIN SHELLER is configured with an emphasis on stiffness and handling, while the 8-strand model offers a smoother line texture and quieter performance.
