Bluing Hearts Co., Ltd.’s Falcon is a floating pencil lure designed to mimic fleeing baitfish on the surface through a hybrid construction that combines the buoyancy of balsa wood with the strength of resin. Lightweight, buoyant balsa is used as the core and molded with high-float resin on the outside, delivering both the durability that is difficult to achieve with balsa alone and a sharp action that takes advantage of its buoyancy. The resin coating helps prevent water from penetrating the body, making it less likely for the lure’s weight or action to change as it absorbs water during use. By balancing the balsa wood and weight, while fine-tuning buoyancy, the lure is designed to respond more precisely to angler input for accurate lure control.

The basic action is a diving jerk from an upright posture created by placing the weight toward the tail. Jerk the lure to make it dive below the surface, then pause to let it rise and imitate baitfish being pursued. In addition to the standard Falcon, the Falcon Fat features a thicker body for increased casting distance and a wider darting action. The Falcon Hybrid Abalone is a color variation based on the Falcon Dual-Flash series, adding the natural flash of abalone. When using the lure, select hooks to match the size and weight of each model, and work it near the surface by combining jerks and pauses.
