Nico Design Office Plum 80

NIKO Design Office’s Plam80 is a sinking vibration lure designed around a slim minnow profile reminiscent of baitfish and a natural rolling action that imitates a weakened small fish. The standard model measures 80 mm and weighs 18 g. Rather than producing the strong vibration typical of conventional vibration lures, it generates a rolling action with subtle vibration during slow to medium-speed retrieves. Its action is less likely to break down even when the retrieve speed is increased, making it easier to maintain a consistent swimming action. Thanks to its slim body, it can be worked through the water with a minnow-like silhouette despite being a vibration lure.

It is primarily suited to being cast, allowed to sink to the desired depth, and retrieved at a steady speed. Varying the retrieve speed allows you to adjust the tempo of the action and the depth at which the lure runs, providing depth control according to current strength and water depth. The series also includes the Plam80MS Mid Shallow, which weighs 15 g—3 g less than the standard model and is easier to work slowly through the same depth range—and the 25 g Plam80 Deep. The different weights are easy to select according to changes in tide level and current speed, while the standard model is designed for long casts and targeting midwater to deeper ranges.
