Souls Nardo

SOULS Nardo is a floating pencil bait designed specifically with slender baitfish such as saury and sardines in mind. It features a slimmer body profile than other lures in the Nardo series, making it easy to create the erratic movement of fleeing baitfish. It is intended for situations where baitfish are feeding near the surface and you want to use an approach different from a minnow. The Nardo 140-35 measures 140 mm in length and weighs 35 g.

The lure is designed to produce action with approximately half the rod movement required by a typical water-gripping pencil bait. With short and slow rod movements, it produces an action that resembles baitfish fleeing in a straight line, while short and fast rod movements create a diving and darting action as though the baitfish are scrambling from side to side. Rather than retrieving it continuously, the basic technique is to impart action at a moderate speed, pause for approximately 2–4 seconds, and then move it again. By allowing a deliberate pause after each action, you can imitate baitfish coming to a complete stop.
