MG Craft Igosso

Mg-CRAFT’s IGOSSO is a casting jig minnow designed to target fish feeding on sardines and probe different depths from the surface through the mid-water column to the bottom. The 110 mm, 30 g model features a front-heavy weight balance and a slim body profile, allowing it to descend quickly through the water column. It is Mg-CRAFT’s first injection-molded model and features an internal through-wire construction. The body is made from plastic and uses reduced resin thickness to keep it lightweight while maintaining buoyancy.

On the first retrieve after splashdown, it skips across the surface to imitate a fleeing baitfish. On a free fall, it sinks headfirst while swimming, representing baitfish escaping downward. When targeting the mid-water column to the bottom, let it sink to the desired depth, then work it with a combination of jerks and falls. Its balance is designed for a front assist hook, and the action is less likely to change when the hook size is altered. The eye is also positioned slightly upward, allowing it to be skipped across the surface of a feeding frenzy in choppy conditions. The front-heavy design also helps prevent it from breaking out of the water.
