Ocean Ruler Worm Hook

Ocean Ruler’s Extra Hold is a worm hook designed to hold soft plastics securely and help prevent them from slipping during casting, splashdown, and retrieves. The crank section is longer than usual to distribute stress around the head of the worm, creating a structure that helps reduce damage to the soft plastic. In addition, the long crank section features a worm keeper to help prevent the worm from slipping during action. This makes it easier to keep the worm securely rigged while reducing the need for re-rigging or replacement.

The hook features a wide-gap design suitable for bulky soft plastics and large worms. It is easy to rig according to the worm’s size and shape and can be used with a standard worm-hook setup, positioning the hook point along the worm’s body. It is also easy to incorporate into rigs that allow the worm to be worked independently, such as a Carolina rig, and supports presentations near the bottom using stop-and-go retrieves or slow retrieves. Combining a long crank section, worm keeper, and wide gap, it is designed with both soft-plastic-holding power and solid hooksets in mind.
