Major Craft AJI-DO 3G

Major Craft’s AJI-DO 3G is a rockfish rod designed to make high sensitivity, precise control, and lightweight performance comparable to higher-end models accessible for aji fishing. Toray T1100G carbon is assembled using the R360 construction method, combining carbon fibers oriented vertically, diagonally, and horizontally in a multi-axis structure to pursue sharp handling and lightweight performance. Built around a solid tip and extra-fast action, it is configured for easy jighead control and detection of subtle bites. The K-frame guides use an original setup designed to reduce line tangles during casting and in strong winds, while the tip guide is also designed to promote a smooth casting stroke and line release. Weight reduction and sensitivity are further enhanced by the Fuji Kogyo SKSS reel seat.

The lineup centers on UL models for handling 0.2–2.5 g jigheads and L models for 0.2–3 g, with different lengths suited to different applications. The AD3-5102UL/S is suited to slow presentations in small fishing ports and from breakwaters, featuring a sensitive tip and the maneuverability unique to a short rod. The AD3-612UL/S balances casting distance and control with jigheads under 1 g, while the AD3-652UL/S is designed for fishing from high banks and searching a wide area. Among the L models, the AD3-5102L/S is intended for direct control in small fishing spots, the AD3-612L/S for short-range jighead-only fishing and areas around night lights, and the AD3-652L/S for long casts and drift presentations carried by current lines and tidal flow.
