Major Craft’s Aji-Do Head is a worm jig head designed with a focus on hooking horse mackerel. It features a Japanese-made hook with a sharp point designed for reliable penetration, along with gold plating that resists rust and also helps attract horse mackerel. The line eye is generously sized for high visibility, making it easier to check the rig’s position during night light-game fishing.
The head has a low-center-of-gravity triangular shape designed to provide stability during slow retrieves, as well as a responsive darting action when worked with the rod and a stable posture on the fall. It can be used with different presentations, from slowly retrieving the rig through a consistent depth to enticing fish by making the worm dart from side to side with light rod inputs, or allowing it to fall while maintaining tension. A worm keeper holds the worm securely against the head; set the worm so that the hook point is properly exposed.
Sizes M and L are available: M in 0.4–2.0 g and L in 1.5–3.0 g. Choose the weight according to the desired sink rate and handling, from probing nearshore depths with a lightweight rig to targeting deeper layers or areas with current. The separate Aji-Do Head Mame Aji model is available in sizes S and SS, allowing you to choose between models with different hook sizes.
