TSUNEKICHI Inc.’s EZ-METAL is a metal jig developed around the concept of easily attracting fish during light jigging, including shore-based sea bass fishing. It is specifically designed to entice fish with a rolling action and flash on the fall, with an emphasis on presenting the lure during a vertical fall. The lure readily generates action automatically while falling, making this model easy to use when fishing by dropping the lure vertically through the water column.

According to the official method of use, allow the lure to reach the bottom vertically or at a slightly angled position of approximately 70–80 degrees along a vertical seawall or similar structure in water about 10 m deep, where fish are believed to be holding. Maintain line tension so that bites can be detected, and if there is no response, transition into a retrieve immediately after the lure reaches the bottom. Retrieve while making short, sharp rod lifts, repeating the same motion to search the area. When casting, the lure is retrieved diagonally from the side, so it can also be worked with slightly slower, larger rod lifts, incorporating pauses for the lure to fall and create opportunities for bites. This presentation is suited to harbor-based sea bass that are feeding on small baitfish.
