SHOUT’s Double Barb Assist is an assist hook for nearshore jigging, developed to combine penetration performance during hooksets with strong hook-holding power. It features a double-barbed hook with two small barbs designed to reduce resistance during penetration while providing greater holding power than a single-barbed hook.
The hook features a lightweight design, combining easy penetration from its long-tapered hook point with SHOUT’s Hammer Head Press, which forms the hook eye area without using a ring. This configuration enhances responsiveness during hooksets and promotes hook penetration around the fish’s mouth. The assist section uses PE line and is protected at the connection point with shrink tubing. As a pre-rigged assist hook, it can be attached to the front of a metal jig or used in similar applications. Available sizes range from 1/0 to 5/0, with the assist section configuration varying according to hook size.
