SHIMANO’s OCEA STINGER BUTTERFLY CENTER SARDINE is a center-balanced metal jig designed for situations where anchovy-type baitfish are present, making it easy to build a controlled presentation without overly aggressive action. On the jerk, it produces short turns with a tight, head-shaking motion, while on the fall, it maintains a horizontal posture accompanied by a sliding action and vibration. Its understated movement blends naturally with the current to entice bites. It is easy to use with both baitcasting and spinning tackle, and is suited to techniques centered on one-pitch jerks, with the retrieve adjusted according to the fish’s response to the jerk and fall.

Featuring a shape focused on basic performance, it is designed to be worked around both the jerk and the fall. Some color options use SCALE BOOST, a multi-pitch hologram that imitates baitfish scales. Wavy colors and shell colors with abalone foil applied to the 135 g and 160 g models can be selected according to differences in light reflection and color tone. The lineup includes the 110 g JT-711L, 135 g JT-713L, and 160 g JT-716L, allowing you to choose according to the fishing depth, current strength, and required fall speed.
