SHIMANO’s BB BRAID is a Japanese-made PE line designed to provide sufficient strength and durability while also making line replacement easy. It uses IZANAS® ultra-high-strength polyethylene fiber, also used in PITBULL and TANATORU, and is designed with a focus on cost performance.
The lineup includes highly visible Mantis Green and a five-color marking pattern in which the main color changes every 10 meters. Mantis Green makes it easy to track the line’s trajectory, helping with casting control and line management. The five-color marking pattern allows anglers to estimate casting distance based on color changes and to roughly gauge water depth. LD-M54Y is available in a 150 m spool, LD-M64Y in a 200 m spool, and LD-M74Y in a 300 m spool, with sizes ranging from PE 0.6 to PE 3 depending on the model. Choose according to your intended use, reel line capacity, and color visibility.
