Shimano OCEA Long Waver

SHIMANO’s OCEA LONG WAVER is a metal jig based on the OCEA STINGER BUTTERFLY SARDINE WAVER, with its shape adjusted to create a longer silhouette. Designed to accommodate a wide range of jर्कs, from slow and light to high-pitch, it features a low-resistance design. With minimal input, it transitions into a sliding action, delivering a long sliding distance and extended hang time for presentations that allow the jig to blend naturally with the current.

Its center-weighted balance, positioned slightly toward the rear, produces wide, sweeping slides during jerks and an irregular, slow action on the fall to attract fish. After each jerk, it falls while flashing, allowing the jig to be used through the entire sequence from lifting the lure to the fall. The basic approach is to adjust the retrieve while checking the current speed, allowing the jig to blend naturally with the flow. Available weights include 100 g, 130 g, 160 g, and 200 g, allowing anglers to choose according to the water depth, current strength, and tackle being used. JV-L16U is the 160 g model, a size that makes it easy to create slides and falls that take advantage of its long silhouette.
