Shimano Raku-chen Baku-baku S

SHIMANO’s Engetsu Raku-Chen Bakubaku S is a tai-rubber rig designed for quickly changing the head and skirt to adjust the rig combination on the spot according to the fishing conditions. While the R model features a round head, the S model uses an angular head. Its one-touch design allows the head to be split into two pieces and replaced without cutting the leader.

To replace the head, pull out the slide pin to open it, then securely lock it after making the change. The skirt can be attached and removed by lifting the Sulu-Sulu Clip, making it easy to change not only the head weight but also the skirt shape and color to suit the conditions. It supports “Chenraba,” a style of fishing in which the head and skirt are rearranged based on the recommended weight given by the captain and the rigs producing fish nearby.

The JD-X12U is a 120 g angular-head model equipped with Bakugake Hooks size 9. After dropping it to the bottom, the standard approach is to retrieve it at a constant speed, as with a conventional tai-rubber rig. The combination can be adjusted according to the conditions by changing the head weight and the skirt shape and color.
