Shimano Coltsniper Aomono Catcher

Shimano’s Colt Sniper Aomono Catcher is a metal jig designed with a focus on hook-setting performance and ease of control for shore jigging. It features the original Colt Sniper body, proven in fishing locations throughout Japan, and comes equipped with twin assist hooks on the front for enhanced holding power. The design helps prevent the hooks from coming loose when fish thrash in the surf or at high-elevation fishing spots.

The body features a faceted design that readily grips the water, producing a tail-wagging action on a steady retrieve and quick slides with light jerks. During the fall, it generates stable vibration, supporting presentations that combine retrieves, jerks, and falls. Its moderately flattened, laterally symmetrical body has a center of gravity positioned slightly toward the rear, helping prevent rotation during casting and maintain a stable flight posture. The holographic finish uses Scale Boost, which recreates the scale pattern of baitfish.

The lineup includes 28 g, 35 g, and 42 g weights. As a general rule, choose a weight that makes it easier to reach the bottom according to the water depth and current. The 28 g model is light and easy to handle, while the 42 g model makes the most of its casting performance and compact silhouette. Two original twin hooks are pre-installed on the front, allowing you to vary your presentation after the lure lands by using steady retrieves, jerks, or falls according to the conditions.
