SHIMANO’s PITBULL 8+ is a PE line designed to achieve low stretch and improved abrasion resistance while enhancing surface smoothness, linearity, and strength consistency. It is braided using IZANAS® ultra-high-strength polyethylene fibers and the “Tough Cross 2” construction, which combines Tough Cross+ with the VT Method. It also features a heat-sink coating that applies a special heat-resistant silicone resin to the surface, helping improve smoothness.
The line is available in Traceable Pink, with the LD-M51T offered in 150 m and the LD-M61T in 200 m. Both models are available from No. 0.4 to No. 2, with maximum strength varying by line size. Its low stretch enhances handling, while the surface characteristics of Tough Cross 2 make it suitable for lure fishing, including casting. Choose the length and line size according to the reel’s line capacity and the type of fishing targeted.
