Shimano King Slasher

Shimano’s OCEA STINGER BUTTERFLY KING SLASHER is a metal jig designed as a pilot jig for searching a wide area for pelagic fish, quickly reaching the bottom and enticing strikes with a pronounced sliding action. Its slim, long profile with reduced thickness minimizes retrieve resistance, making it easy to efficiently cover depths ranging from shallow to deep water. The body is asymmetrical both vertically and horizontally, creating differences in water resistance that help produce a sliding action during jerks.

With combination jerks using a slightly softer light-class rod, the jig responds quickly, while it also accommodates impact-focused jerks delivered with a stiffer rod. After sliding, it transitions into a horizontal fall accompanied by pronounced wobbling. Depending on the conditions, it can also incorporate a vertical drop from the rear, producing an action that maintains strong appeal during the fall without compromising ease of reaching the bottom. It is suitable for both vertical jigging and drift fishing with the boat moving downwind, and can be used with either spinning or baitcasting tackle. The lineup includes models with different overall lengths depending on weight, such as the 120 g JT-312P, 135 g JT-313P, and 150 g JT-315P, allowing you to choose according to the current and water depth.
